How-To
Add a task with natural-language shorthand
Capture a task quickly while detecting date, time, priority, and tag details.
Before you start
- Open the add-task sheet.
- Create the tag first if you want shorthand such as #Work to match a configured tag.
Steps
- Type the task title using planner shorthand, such as Call Sam tomorrow 9am A1 #Work.
- Review the detected date, time, priority, and tag details.
- Apply the detected metadata explicitly in the add flow.
- Save the task and confirm it appears on the intended day.
If shorthand is not detected, add the task normally and edit the date, time, priority, or tag fields before saving.
